I think Cisco’s WebEx is really facing some serious competition here. In a time where every remote desktop utility software (such as TeamViewer, Mikogo and CrossLoop) are offering there flavors free of charge, WebEx is still doing it as a trial followed by a hectic buying / subscription fee.
And talking about that, I’ve discovered yet another freeware remote desktop control software known as YuuGuu. YuuGuu actually caught my attention when a friend I was following in Twitter says that “Yuuguu is better then WebEx”.
Apart from being free and having quite a wide userbase, YuuGuu is now even supported on Mac and Linux.

Although you’re right about the free remote desktop services and the high prices charged by Webex, you have to take into consideration that if you’re using a service for commercial means, a free service has both its limitations in terms of functionality as well as a violation of the terms of agreement. Therefore as a small business, I found a pretty good tool which fits the balance based on price and performance- Techinline Remote Desktop (http://www.techinline.com). It’s as to run a remote connection as it gets, given that nobody needs to install anything, and the pricing is both flexible and reasonable.

Sounds good. But I don’t have any experience with either webex nor yuguu. I used Teamviewer and Mikogo earlier. Both worked fine for me. I am currently using RHUB remote desktop appliance in my college and it really works well. Guess it’s a better alternative for commercial purposes. It allows for a collaborative remote support and ensures consistent remote connection and advance features.

This is also good.
The software works well, Ammyy Admin doesn’t require installation or specific config, works behind gateways NAT as well as within one LAN.
