Amazon associate’s referral program did pretty well for me this year. For starters the payment fee structure is quite confusing but there is help and Amazon explained that clearly in their help section for both US and UK (at least that’s where I promote their offers). Seems to me that you have not much reasons to use the classic fee structure in US but in the UK, you might want to consider using the classic since you will get capped at £7.00 per Electronics Product and £10.00 per Video Game Product if you were to use the performance fee plan.

Top 10 New Year Resolutions for 2009
People set new year resolutions at the start of a new year. So what did most people wished for 2009?
Are Your Adsense Earnings Off The Cliff?
At least mine is, well, sort of. My tech sites are performing a bit strangely this month, traffic has been down, CTR is lower, but eCPM is higher compared to last month. What’s interesting is that my gaming related site is actually performing crazily well this month, seeing the highest adsense CTR and earnings per click for the whole year and even getting a few sales from Amazon affiliates which is seriously rare since I don’t promote them much at all. The only explanation that I can derive from this experience is that people are really shopping for physical goods for thanksgiving, christmas and the new year. If your site can be monetized by selling some physical products, I suggest you do it and don’t rely on Google Adsense as your sole online income.
You know what people do in a recession? They don’t actually stop buying and consuming. They are just more cautious, buy stuffs that are cheaper and stay in home and do in-house entertainment more often. Doesn’t that mean something to you if you’re an affiliate marketer?

PPC Marketing Is About Taking Educated Risk
The way I see doing affiliate marketing using any of the big 3 (google adwords, yahoo search marketing or microsft adcenter) is as simple as this – It’s all about learning, taking risk and managing it.
When a close friend told me to stop dreaming of earning fast cash through ppc marketing and be real, I failed to stand by the same side as he does. But yet, I do understand why some people say that. Every human have their own beliefs and how that is implemented in the human brain system is not the discussion of this topic.

6 Key Tips To Boost Conversion Rates
What makes humans special is that we have emotions, intellectual intelligence and the ability to read and write. If you knew that and you’re a marketer, then have you ask yourself how to improve your conversion rates (sales, leads, subscription) before?
Yes, the answer is to trigger those human emotions. And a good way to do that without incurring any cost is to use the right words. In marketing, they call these words the “call to action” keywords.
