Most of the bloggers that we have today are in blogging due to money itself. Yeah, it’s like the new gold rush (since 2005 anyway). It’s the optimism that hard work does pays off by writing good contents, and slipping in a few Adsense ads here and there will get them some clicks and thus revenue.

Should You Sell Advertisements, Text Links and Paid Reviews?
An online friend was asking me this question the other day. Selling in house advertisements and text ads is a good way to earn revenue for your online properties. Be aware though that Google has stated they are penalizing paid links since 2007 but as long as you do it right and that you know what you’re talking about in your paid reviews, things should be fine.

Bloodbath In Asia As Markets Freefall
There must be a lot of fear in the market currently as all major indexes around the world are seeing red. And I thought that the ASX would hold strong well above 4500 points, and see where it’s currently after this closing week – It’s below 4000! It was still as high as 6500 points when it reach its highest point ever back last year. Consumer confidence? Investor confidence? They all went out of the window.

Breaking Alexa 200K 3 Months Average Mark
For the first time, this blog has break into the top 200K sites on the internet, based on Alexa 3 months average that is. I set this goal back in July and it has now been materialized at the end of August. Comparing this to other sites that I’ve started, this growth has been quite slow but consistent nonetheless.
I’ll be seeking to diversfy my blog income from other sources such as selling direct advertising and affiliates deals starting from next month. One of the main purpose of having a blog is to invest my time into writing good contents, communicating my skills and ideas, and the hope to monetize it properly to gain some financial reward. We’ll see in time how that goes from here.

Banks Only Care About Their Money
