How To Remove Advertisements From Xunlei (Thunder)

Xunlei is a file sharing client that supports BitTorrent, eDonkey, Kad, and FTP. It is said to be faster then other popular bitTorrent clients such as bitComet and uTorrent. I usually use it for downloading drama episodes through torrent and ftp.

I like using Xunlei (Thunder) but the problem to me was that it contains too many distractions and ads. A fresh installtion of Xunlei will look something like the picture below whereby boxes in red are ads and Xunlei community news.

I’ve wrote about a free screen capture software known as Cropper late last year and honestly haven’t been using it much after finding out about Jing.

But today, I’ve finally come across yet another good reason why keeping Cropper in my list of most useful program is such a good decision. Nuspehere PHPED Best CakePHP IDE?

CakePHP and several other popular PHP framework has been supported in PHPED since version 5. Being one of the leaders in providing PHP solutions such as the popular PHP Deugger (not to be confused with xdebug) and NuSOAP, I think that their implementation of CakePHP support is by far the best out there. How To Use Non Ribbon Bar Classic Menu Style in Office 2007

Some people dislike the fact that Office 2007 comes with a big fat ribbon bar on the top row taking up quite a lot of real estate in their precious viewing area. If you’re one of them, this ~~office addin~~ can get you what you want by replacing the ribbon bar with those classic menus seen in office 2003. The pic below shows an example where there’s no more ribbon bar in Microsoft Office Word 2007.

How To Check Spelling For Any Software Application

I’ve just started using TinySpell as a spelling checker and am quite satisfied with the results I’m seeing so far. No matter which application you are working in, as long as there are text and you think spelling is important, just turn on TinySpell and it will start checking that your spellings are all correct in real time while you type. I personally work in opera, notepad++, pspad, dreamweaver etc where text content and spellings can be quite important.

UML, FlowChart and Mind Mapping Software Tools

IBM’s Rational Rose isn’t the only tool for drawing UML diagrams and Microsoft Visio ain’t the only flowchart mapping software either. I find FreeMind quite easy to use and as a freeware alternative to Microsoft Visio in drawing mindmaps and flowcharts, but how about freeware tools to draw UML diagrams?
