Running A Duplicate Offline Copy WordPress Site
There are cases where having and running your complete wordpress site offline in your local machine can be useful:
1) To run as a backup.
2) To write a new theme just for your site.
3) To test out new plugins before you plug it into your real live wordpress (online) site.
3) To talk to yourself where no one cares what you say, and reply to your own comments if you wish
4) and best of all, to mess with the database with phpmyadmin.

Weird WordPress Themes Problem
I wonder if anyone else has the same experience that I’m having here. For some reasons, wordpress switches to use the default theme every once in a while, and I will need to go the the administration section to get it to use the custom theme that I wanted. I really can’t find any reason why this is happening. If you can help, it would really be appreciated.
Update: 10th March 2008
I had been able to solve this problem after disabling the mobile wordpress plugin made by Alex King. The only strange thing that I don’t understand is that, I have the same version of mobile wordpress plugin running on another wordpress blog and things are absolutely running fine. Apart from using a different custom theme, the rest were simply the same.
WP-Cache is obviously not the culprit here as I still don’t have this plugin installed on this blog.

Does Share This WordPress Plugin Hurts Your Search Engine Ranking?
Just wondering if the so popular share this wordpress plugin would cause any harm to a site’s search engine ranking. The reason of bringing this up is due to the fact that I’ve installed it, and the “share this” link of the plugin (located at the end of each post) brings you to a seperate page where you have the option to bookmark a post to a social network, or email it to your uncle on the moon.
