Looking back to those days when you were a kid, did you wished you had done something different in terms of making money to support yourself? I certainly do. Let’s face it, kids will grow up one day. IMHO, it’s better for them to start learning to earn money, investing, and managing their time and resources while they are young. I’ve collected a few ideas online and think they are indeed feasible and can be a profitable venture for kids nowadays.
Computer programming and Services
Kids nowadays spend a lot of their time with computers. They can either learn a few skills with programming C, Java, .NET and sell their services to small businesses who need them. Kids can show old folks how to setup a computer and how to use the internet for a fee.
Web Development
The internet has driven all of us mad. Suddenly, we’re all exposed, and so are businesses around your area. Kids who are talented with creativity and not shy from learning HTML, CSS, Javascript or image editing might offer themselves to work for a contract for business around your area to create websites or provide services for them.
Start a Blog
The idea is simple, start a blog, write, and put up some ads or even sell advertisements by yourself (though I will probably stick with Google adsense and clickbank affiliate markeing as a start). A blog can be a good way for helping anyone to organize their thought, communicate their ideas and improve their writing.
Invest in Shares Online
Warren Buffet, the “Oracle of Omaha” and the world richest investor made his first stock pruchase at an age of 11. And with today’s widely available online business news, financial tools and online brokerages, it will be too easy to start investing, even when you are young as a kid.
