We humans are funny creatures. Whatever we do, we need a reason so that we can continue to do it. The better the reason is, the higher motivation level will be and this directly affects the performance and end result of whatever you want to achieve.
But my question is, if you do have self doubts and temporary setbacks, what is the major factor that keeps you moving on?
For me, I think I’ve got 3:
1. It’s the fear of not being able to fulfill my dreams. If I do fail, that means I’ve just found out another way how things don’t work.
2. Looking back at my lowest point in my life.
There were bad times back in my life where there was lots of time and energy spent unwisely. Thinking about bad times actually pushed me so that I put myself in a position where I tell myself everyday that I would never want to be back in those situations again.
3. Thinking about the good times
Do you have an experience where you were really HIGH? I’m not talking about drugs! They are things like your first medal of achievement, a job well done, the first sale or major accomplishments. Those are your glory moments. Remember them, think about them and let them inspire you each day.
It’s simply: A state of mind.
So, what’s your secret formula?
