It’s your life and you know that you are in this world for something. You have a dream, it makes your heart pump just 2 times faster when you think of it (so you know that it’s not a heart attack). But how do you know when you are good enough to say that you are able to achieve that dream?
I don’t really know, and I think no one can tell you when it’s your time, to be good. You either find out about what your talents are when you concentrate whole heartedly into something, or you take up the initiative to look into something and spend a hell lot of time into doing it. I believe practise makes perfection, and it applies to all areas, whether if it’s investing, sports, software development, cooking, writing, management or starting up a business.
So, I think my point is simple, practise while you can, and try to perfect and polish up your skills. It’s always easier to force yourself than being forced by someone else. You know you are good when you can help others and be efficient in coming up wth a solution. Know what you are good at, and seek help when you are in need.
As in my case, I blog to improve my english and writing skills. It helps me make good use of my time in writing and communcting my ideas. Yes, I do try to monetize my website at the same time, but that should be something that comes second in the list. I know I’m good when I can manage my time a bit better, communicate my ideas clearly, improve myself everyday, and that my website/blog improves in terms of readership, search engine rankings, pagerank, traffic and revenue.
Have you found your talent yet?

I’ve always believed mine to be in web design but as time progresses I feel I’m better in something else.
Just think of the past things you wanted to do as a kid. 🙂
