After a few days of messing with Ubuntu on my laptop, I kinda miss a few programs which I use often on my windows box. Running windows program on Ubuntu (or any linux box) is really simple and here’s how.
All you need to do is install Wine. For Ubuntu, it’s as easy as going to Applications > Ubuntu Software Center and search for Wine.
You should see “Wine Microsoft Windows Compatibility Layer” returned as one of the search result. Go ahead and install that.
Once you installed that, you are good to go and run any exe files. Right click on any *.exe files, and a new menu will appear as “Open Wine Windows Program Loader”.
