Australia seems to have good partnership with Toyota and gonna ramp up more Toyota Hybrid for the whole country. But what about Honda Clarity which is powered by compressed hydrogen fuel? Even though Hybrid vehicles is a good step forward (the Japs still dominating the niche with Honda Civic Hybrid and Toyota Hybrid) by cutting down on fossil fuel usage, hydrogen powered technology and vehicles seems more promising if we’re talking about a sustainable and greener energy.
Another category worth looking at is electrical vehicles whereby a rechargeable battery is used to power a car. In essence, your car will be just like an electrical appliance with an electrical plug, rechargeable when the battery runs flat. A few big name investors has also recently been investing quite a lot of money into green energy (George Soros in Copenhagen) and battery cells technology (Warren Buffet’s investment into China’s BYD). Let’s hope all this money will be money well spent and we can stop or at least lessen our dependencies on fossil fuel.
