I presume that I’m not one of those Mr. Romantic that always remember about special occassions, especially days like the first kiss, the date we first hold hands or day we had our first night out and dinner together. And before I noticed, it was Valentine’s day 2008. Geez, who created this “festival” anyway?
I know I was in deep trouble (deep sh*t actually) and need to dig a deep hole or else my girlfriend will dig one for me. The reason was simple… I didn’t have a gift fr her yet! I left buying a gift for my girlfriend to the last minute.
At least I grant her the wish of looking for whatever she likes for a price range that I can possibly afford. She was really smart in executing her gift hunt. She drag me into a jewellery shop. It was quite a smooth process. With so many shinny and glittering metals dinggling and begging for attention, she was more than happy to test each of them that caught her eye’s attention. I really wonder how girls keep up with testing and managing these so called “precious” stonres/metals.
Well, in the end, I bet all guys out there probably know how things winded up. After a 30 minute of researching, observation and testing, she finally got a sparkling asset on one of her fingers, had a big grin and smile like she had scored distinctions on “how-to-get-your-boyfriend-to-buy-you-a-precious-metal-101”. Apart from the numbers involved, her smile was definately worth a million dollars.
Peace, for once, was restored at last. We wraped up the day with a simple dinner.
