There’s so many news regarding Tibet seeking freedom from China that it makes me feel sick. I know it’s going to be Olympics 2008 in Beijing soon, and it’s definately worthwhile to put on some action to attract a vast attention from the media and people around the world. But, is it really worth doing it?
I don’t know much about the history between china and Tibet, but the violence and actions asserted by the people of Tibet is really not helping the situation at all in my opinion. Is it that the Tibet people want to have Olympics 2008 to be banned/boycott that they will feel happy? Even so, do they think China will give them independence?
Not even Taiwan dare to talk about independence these days, even though it was a major topic back in the days of the corrupted prime minsiter Chen Shui Bian. Come on, Tibet. Know what and who you are fighting against, and the timing!
I really don’t want to see anything bad going into the history books when the largest sporting events (olympics) is held in in the largest nation in the world (China). And all of us had waited 4 years for an Olympic anyway!
