I’m using Boost Mobile (Australia) as my mobile phone operator and had to do this on my Samsung Note 2 to get 3G mobile data working. Hope this helps someone who are having problems with their 3G mobile data (either not connecting or simply unstable).
I obtained these settings when chatting with their live chat support.
– Select Apps
– Select Settings
– Under Wireless &networks select More Settings
– Select Mobile networks
– Select Access Point Names
– Select Menu
– Select New APN
– Input the following
– Name – Telstra Internet
– APN – telstra.wap
– Proxy – Not set
– Port – Not set
– Username – Not set
– Password – Not set
– Server – Not set
– MMSC – Not set
– MMSC proxy – Not set
– MMS port – Not set
– MCC – 505
– MNC – 01
– Authentication type – Not set
– APN Type – Default,supl (I don’t have this option on my note 2 and chose Internet)
– APN protocol – IPv4
– Enable/disable APN – APN Enabled (Tick it)
– Select Menu
– Select Save
